Course Description: The course will provide an understanding of how nanotechnology, nanoengineering and nanobioscience interface with other disciplines to enhance technology development and disease analysis to address challenges in prevention, diagnostics and treatment of the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and COVID-19 disease. Topics will include biology, pathology and tracking of COVID-19, importance of social distancing based on transport phenomena, vaccine biomanufacturing, biosensing, nanotechnology in diagnostics, tissue engineering-based drug screening, nanoparticle-based targeted drug delivery, nanotechnology-enabled therapeutics and theranostics.

Course Description: Student-based project in a focused technical area related to design, manufacturing, and distribution of mechanical and electrical equipment for the COVID-19 pandemic, including equipment for personal protection and healthcare.
